Marcel Remijn, MSc is Senior Consultant and Project Manager at BLIX. He holds a master’s degree in Engineering Geology from the Delft University of Technology. He started his career as Geotechnical Engineer at Fugro Engineers BV and continued at Bluewater Energy Services BV as a Mooring and Subsea Engineer.
Since 2010 he specialised in Project Management roles. For Seaway Heavy Lifting / Seaway7 he successfully managed the transport and installation of large offshore wind projects. He was involved in projects like Sheringham Shoal (317 MW, UK), Gwynt y Môr (576 MW, UK), Beatrice (588 MW, Scotland), Triton Knoll (857 MW, UK) and Hollandse Kust Zuid (1.5 GW, The Netherlands).
At BLIX, Marcel works for the 1.044 MW wind farm Hai Long at the coast of Taiwan, where he supports the local team on the Transportation and Installation Scope (pin piles, jackets, offshore substations, inter array cables and export cables). With his knowledge and experience he makes an important contribution to the team in optimising the offshore execution.
Marcel is a pragmatic, down-to-earth senior manager. He values integrity, openness, and directness and is a people manager who creates a positive working atmosphere and motivates people to excel. He has a strong focus on performance, safety, quality, and risk and enjoys interesting projects in an ever-changing environment.
